What you are downloading, plainly

  • The Windows installer is not signed. Eikos does not have an Authenticode certificate yet, so Windows will show "Windows protected your PC". (The macOS image is signed, notarized and stapled: you will see no warning there.) Continue from More info → Run anyway. The warning is correct and you will see it; we would rather tell you here than let you meet it without context.
  • It updates itself. It checks for a new version at startup and verifies the package signature before installing anything: a compromised update server is not enough to hand you code. You can also come back here and reinstall, if you prefer.
  • You can check the bytes are ours. Every file publishes its SHA-256, and they are all together in SHA256SUMS.

What installing does not change

Analysis runs on your machine, exactly as in the browser. AI ships switched off and, once on, Eikos shows what leaves and to which provider before sending anything.
