Privacy policy

This policy describes the current preview and its optional AI modes.

The short version

Eikos works without an account and offline. Your datasets, projects, analyses, reports, preferences and learning progress are stored on your device. Somatryx does not receive them. There are no ads, no analytics, no trackers and no advertising identifiers.

The only thing that can leave your device is what you choose to send to a remote AI, and only after Eikos shows you a manifest naming the destination and what it contains.

The four AI modes

AI in Eikos has four states, each handling your data differently. The initial state is off.

  • Off — nothing leaves the device.
  • Local (Ollama) — the model runs on your own machine. Nothing goes to the internet.
  • Your own key — the request travels directly from your device to the provider you choose, on your account and under your contract with them. Somatryx is not involved, does not see it and does not log it. Your key is stored only on your device.
  • Included AI — the request passes through a Somatryx server and from there to the provider. This is the only mode in which Somatryx processes any data of yours, detailed below.

What the included AI processes

The first time you use the included AI, Eikos automatically creates an anonymous session through Firebase Authentication (Google). This generates a random technical identifier (a uid) that contains no name, no email address and no phone or advertising identifier, and exists for one purpose only: counting your usage so monthly limits can be applied.

Against that identifier, Somatryx retains:

  • the anonymous session identifier;
  • usage counters per period (how many requests of each kind) and the timestamp of the last one;
  • minimal server logs needed to operate the service and protect it from abuse.

The content of your request (the text, and whatever data the manifest declares) passes through the server and is forwarded to the provider. Somatryx does not store it and does not use your questions, your files or the answers to train models, its own or anyone else's.

The provider that ultimately answers handles it under its own terms. The possible destinations are Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI and DeepSeek. Eikos never sends the same request to several of them: it uses only the destination named in the manifest.

Email accounts and subscriptions

The paid subscription is switched off today and the included AI is offered with free limits. If it is enabled in future, two things will be required and both will be voluntary: turning the anonymous session into an email account — because an anonymous identifier is lost when app data is cleared, and a purchase tied to it could never be restored — and a payment, which would be processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Somatryx never sees or stores card numbers.

Purchasing is offered on the web and desktop only. The Android and iOS apps show no payment link at all.

Retention and deletion

  • Anything on your device is erased by uninstalling the app, or by clearing its data from your operating system settings. Your own AI key, if you set one, is erased the same way.
  • The anonymous session or email account and its counters can be erased inside Eikos: open Defend › AI › Settings › AI account privacy and deletion and choose Delete my account and server data. This deletes the Firebase account, its usage counters and any Eikos subscription record; global aggregated counters that cannot reconstruct an individual may remain as capacity statistics.
  • If you cannot open the app, email soporte@somatryx.com and request erasure. We answer within 30 days.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability for any personal data we hold about you. If you use Eikos without the included AI, we hold none. Write to soporte@somatryx.com; we answer within 30 days at the latest.

Children

Eikos is a study and work tool intended for an adult audience. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Sensitive data

Anyone loading clinical, personal or regulated data into Eikos must be authorised to do so and must comply with applicable law. Analysis is local; sending such data to a remote AI is your decision, and Eikos makes it explicit before every request.

Changes

Any change that widens what is processed will be published here, with the date above updated, before it is switched on and not after.
